Cage in 3-D!

Filmmaker Patrick Lussier (“My Bloody Valentine 3D”) is returning to the world of red-and-blue cardboard-specs (I know, I know… they don’t exist anymore) for “Drive Angry”, a new 3-D revenge thriller set to star Nicolas Cage.

Set to lens in New Orleans next April (gives Lussier time to tinker with the 3-D technology, I presume?), the Lussier/Todd Farmer-penned pic centers on a man (Cage) driven by rage who is chasing the people who killed his daughter and kidnapped her baby. The vendetta/rescue spins out of control as the chase gets bloodier by the mile, leaving bodies strewn along the highway.

The project will reunite with Nic Cage with Nu Image/Millennium, with whom he worked on the upcoming “Bad Lieutenant” remake with. I believe it’s the first time Lussier has worked with Avi Lerner & Co. though.

In addition to “Drive Angry”, Lussier’s “Condition Dead” (produced by Joel Soisson, and our very own Clint Morris) will also be a 3-D movie. That one will be ‘coming at ya!’ soon too.
