Call of Duty movie sequel already in the works

Joe Robert Cole, pensman on “Black Panther”, will adapt a sequel to Activision Blizzard Studios’ “Call of Duty” for the big screen.

The first “Call of Duty”, to be directed by “Sicario 2” helmer Stefano Sollima, is expected to go before the cameras early next year. The sequel – yep, before the first one is even lensing – has already been commissioned, with Cole now on scripting duties.

The films, based on a first-person shooter video game franchise set primarily in World War II , are currently without a distributor.
