Seems the anachronistic rumour pertaining to Emily Blunt playing Disney’s Captain Marvel might be as solid as Pamela Anderson’s chest.
During this week’s Meet the Press, The Wrap‘s Jeff Schneider mentioned that the current frontrunner for the role of Carol Danvers is the same woman whose name we’ve heard mentioned in relation to the role before.
“There was a rumour about an actress being up for it; an already existing rumour, that’s not new. I’ve definitely heard there’s some truth to that rumour, and that there’s a director with the same first name who has also been eyed. I don’t think that [an announcement] is too far off. If they can make it to Comic Con, they will.”
If it’s Blunt, there’s a number of female directors out there with the same Christian name – – but nobody super famous. So, it’s possible we’re guessing wrong here and it’s, say, Katherine Heigl (heh) they’re looking at to star in the film… with Kathryn Bigelow directing.
