Casting: Taylor-Johnson, Owen, Eastwood & Harris, Gere

Aaron Taylor-Johnson is in talks to star in Amazon Pictures’ “The Wall”, from director Doug Liman and screenwriter Dwain Worrell.

According to Variety, the film is “a deadly cat-and-mouse thriller waged between an American sniper, played by Taylor-Johnson, and Iraqi sharpshooter who has him pinned down behind a small chunk of concrete.”

Clive Owen has joined the cast of director Fred Schepisi’s “Andorra”.

Based on Peter Cameron’s novel, the script has been adapted by Cameron and producer Jamie Bialkower.

The film centres on an American who settles in the tiny country of Andorra. There he meets an Australian couple and unsettles the other natives when he becomes linked to a dead body floating in the harbor.

Bialkower will produce for Jump Street Films with Lizzette Atkins for Unicorn Films. James Ivory will exec produce.

Scott Eastwood and Ed Harris will star in “The Last Full Measure”. Laurence Fishburne and Morgan Freeman are also in final negotiations to star.

Todd Robinson is directing from his own screenplay based on the true story of a present day cover-up investigation.

“The Last Full Measure” follows Scott Huffman (Eastwood), a young Pentagon investigator as he battles the political machine in Washington. Reluctantly, he teams with veterans of Operation Abilene to convince Congress to award the Medal of Honor to a courageous Air Force medic who sacrificed his life saving more than 60 soldiers in the Vietnam War.

Richard Gere is set to headline co-writer/director Jon Avnet’s “Three Christs”.

Based on Milton Rokeach’s biographical novel, the script was penned by Eric Nazarian and Avnet and follows a doctor (Gere) who treats three paranoid schizophrenic patients at the Ypsilanti State Hospital in Michigan, each of whom believe they are Jesus Christ.
