Casting: DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, Arrow, American Gods, The Party

Nick Zano has joined season 2 of the CW’s “DC’s Legends of Tomorrow” as a series regular.

Zano will play Dr. Nate Heywood, “a historian whose grandfather was Commander Steel, a member of the Justice Society of America” (via Deadline).

Rick Gonzalez is set to play DC Comics character Wild Dog in the upcoming fifth season of “Arrow”, reports EW.

“Wild Dog is a new vigilante in Star City whose reckless and cocksure nature prompts Green Arrow (played by Stephen Amell) to take him under his wing.”

Gonzalez will first appear in the season premiere and will feature in multiple episode after that.

“Arrow” returns this fall on The CW.

Orlando Jones will play Mr. Nancy in Starz’s upcoming adaptation of Neil Gaiman’s fantasy novel “American Gods”.

Mr. Nancy is an old African trickster god more commonly known as Anansi, and one of Mr. Wednesday’s (Ian McShane) oldest confidantes. Like Wednesday, Nancy is ready to bring this new America (and its new gods) to its knees, desperate to light a fire and watch the whole world burn.

Demore Barnes is also in the cast as Mr. Ibis, the keeper of stories, past and present, and he recounts them with great relish. His old fashioned sensibilities do not preclude a wry wit.

Bryan Fuller and Michael Green the are writers and showrunners with David Slade directing the pilot and additional episodes.

Patricia Clarkson, Bruno Ganz, Kristin Scott Thomas, Emily Mortimer, Cillian Murphy, Timothy Spall and Cherry Jones will star in Sally Potter’s “The Party”.

The film is described as “a comedy wrapped around a tragedy” and is set in a house in contemporary London.

Producers are Christopher Sheppard for Adventure Pictures and Kurban Kassam.
