Casting: MacGyver, Grey’s Anatomy, Legends of the Hidden Temple

“CSI” alum George Eads will co-star in CBS’ “MacGyver” reboot.

Described as a re-imagining of the television series of the same name, the reboot follows a 20-something MacGyver as he gets recruited into a clandestine organization where he uses his knack for solving problems in unconventional ways to help prevent disasters from happening.

THR reports: “Eads, who is the first person cast in the pilot, will take on the role of Lincoln, a man who could easily be written off as an eccentric conspiracy theorist, but he’s a legit government employee with a great capability for compassion.”

The outlet is also reporting David Von Ancken will take over for James Wan (who has a scheduling conflict) and direct the pilot.

Wilmer Valderrama (“That ’70s Show”) will appear in a multi-episode arc in “Grey’s Anatomy”.

His character is called Diaz and will first appear in an episode set to air in early April.

Variety first reported the news.

Colin Critchley and Jet Jurgensmeyer have been cast in Nickelodeon’s TV movie reboot of its 90s game show “Legends of the Hidden Temple”.

Crtichley and Jurgensmeyer will play brothers Noah and Dudley, respectively.

In the movie, three siblings – the third is yet to be cast – break away from “a boring temple tour in the jungle and find themselves involved in a real life mission comprised of obstacles they must complete to escape alive” (via Variety).
