Casting: Baywatch, 24: Legacy, Hall, Stevens, Ziyi

Jon Bass has joined Dwayne Johnson, Zac Efron, Alexandra Daddario, Ilfenesh Hadera and Kelly Rohrbach in the cast of Paramount’s “Baywatch” movie.

According to Variety, “Bass will play the role of Ronnie, who’s described as funny, awkward and a skilled disco dancer. He falls in love with Rohrbach’s  C.J. Parker character at the beach.”

Seth Gordon is directing the film with production expected to kick off in the next few months in preparation for a May 19, 2017 release.

Miranda Otto will star opposite Corey Hawkins in “24” revival series “24: Legacy”.

The show will follow Hawkins’ character Eric Carter, a man with a troubled past who turned his life around in the Army Rangers. Now settled in Virginia with his wife Nicole, Carter’s past comes back to haunt him, eventually forcing him to ask CTU to help save his life and stop what could potentially be one of the largest-scale terror attacks on American soil.

Otto will play the former head of CTU, Rebecca Ingram. Now married to a senator, Ingram is beginning to reconsider having left the CTU in the first place.

Rebecca Hall and Dan Stevens have signed on to star in rom-com “Permission”, from writer/director Brian Crano.

The project centres on Anna (Hall) and Will (Stevens), who were each other’s first every-things: first kiss, first love, first relationship. Now years on, the couple decide to sleep with other people for the sake of their relationship.

Gina Gershon, Francois Arnaud, Morgan Spector, Bridget Everett, David Joseph Craig, Sarah Steele and Jason Sudeikis co-star.

Jason Winer is on board to helm the project from writers Ethan Sandler and Adrian Wenner.

Plot details remain under wraps.
