Casting: Fox’s Marvel pilot, Rampage

Blair Redford is the first cast member to join Fox and director Bryan Singer’s untitled Marvel drama pilot.

According to EW, Redford will play Sam, “the strong-headed Native American leader of the underground network.”

The drama will focus on two ordinary parents who discover their children possess mutant powers. Forced to go on the run from a hostile government, the family joins up with an underground network of mutants and must fight to survive.

While the pilot isn’t titled yet and nothing “official” has been announced, showrunner Matt Nix has previously said that the pilot will be set in the same universe as the “X-Men” films.

Joe Manganiello and Marley Shelton are in negotiations to join Dwayne Johnson and Naomie Harris in New Line’s adventure film “Rampage”.

Based on the 1980s video game, the film centres on three monsters – a gorilla, crocodile and wolf – who wreak havoc on North American cities.

Johnson will play the animal-loving hero who must save the world and Harris will play a geneticist with a moral streak. Should the talks come off, Manganiello will play the leader of a private military group and Shelton will play a scientist and astronaut (via THR).

Brad Peyton is directing the movie which has been set for release on April 20, 2018.
