Casting: Scott, Dern, Monroe

Andrew Scott (“Sprectre”) has landed a role opposite Rachel Weisz, Tom Wilkinson and Timothy Spall in “Denial.”

David Hare adapted the script from Deborah E. Lipstadt’s book “History on Trial: My Day in Court with a Holocaust Denier”, about Lipstadt’s legal battle for historical truth against Holocaust denier David Irving.

Mick Jackson is directing the project.

Laura Dern is the latest to join Reese Witherspoon and Nicole Kidman’s HBO miniseries “Big Little Lies”.

Shailene Woodley and Adam Scott are also in the cast of the David E. Kelley dark comic drama based on Liane Moriarty’s 2014 book.

Maika Monroe (“It Follows”) is in talks to join Liam Neeson, Jason Bateman and Diane Lane in Watergate thriller “Felt”.

“Concussion” director Peter Landesman will helm the film based on his own script.

According to Variety, “the pic is a spy thriller, centering on “Deep Throat,” the pseudonym given to the notorious whistleblower for one of the greatest scandals of all time, Watergate. The true identity of the informant remained a mystery and source of much public curiosity and speculation for more than 30 years. That is until, in 2005, special agent Mark Felt revealed himself as the tipster.”
