Chloe Moretz has signed on to star as the titular character in Working Title and Universal’s “The Little Mermaid” live-action adaptation.
Richard Curtis is in talks to pen the script based on the original Hans Christian Andersen story, which follows a mermaid who wishes to become human after falling in love with a man she saves from drowning.
Working Title’s Tim Bevan and Eric Fellner are producing with Liza Chasin and Amelia Granger exec producing.
