Chris Lilley filming new Netflix series on the Gold Coast

The Australian comedian behind shows such as “Summer Heights High” and “We Can Be Heroes” is set to film his next show for Netflix in Queensland next month.

Chris Lilley will head to the Gold Coast to film his 10-episode series, which is yet to be given a title.

Lilley is behind such characters as Jai’me, Mr G and Jonah, and no doubt fans will be keen to see what he creates next.

Another bonus for the show is the boost to the Queensland economy, creating jobs for approx 250 extras and cast, and 100 other crew roles. The show will be filming until July, and is expected to boost the local economy by $6.35 million.
