Christopher McQuarrie remaking Ice Station Zebra

Christopher McQuarrie (“Jack Reacher”) has been tapped by Warner Bros to remake “Ice Station Zebra”, the 1968 Ernest Borgine/Rock Hudson thriller about an American Naval submarine team that races the Russians to retrieve sensitive photographic material in the Arctic.

McQuarrie, who is said to be also circling “Mission : Impossible 5”, will write and direct the film according to THR.

With it’s spy theme and terrific twists, “Ice Station Zebra” seems a perfect fit for McQuarrie, who got his big break as a screenwriter on flicks like “The Usual Suspects”.
