Marvel took to Comic Con on Friday to announce the arrival of at least three new characters to its “Agents of SHIELD”.
Lucy Lawless, Nick Blood and Reed Diamond will join the cast along with Patton Oswalt who previously guest starred on the show.
Lawless is set to play Isabelle Hartley, a tough SHIELD veteran who is an expert with a knife.
Blood will portray Lance Hunter, the director of S.T.R.I.K.E., a British intelligence agency that worked with Captain America and Captain Britain to defeat Red Skull. He will assist the SHIELD agents.
Diamond will play villain Daniel Whitehall, a member of Hydra and known by his alias the Kraken. When wearing his signature helmet, Whitehall is covered in body armour.
While Ostwalt previously appeared on the show as Agent Koenig, he will return as twins Sam and Billy.
Production began on the show’s newest eps on Thursday.
