Comic-Con : Gunn for Guardians sequel, Terrio for Justice League

According to “Guardians of the Galaxy” co-writer Nicole Perlman, James Gunn will write and direct the film’s sequel. It’s expected that this is one of the titles Marvel will announce at their Hall H panel this week at Comic-Con, with a likely 2018 release date planned. (The Wrap)

Meanwhile, word out of the DC camp is that Chris Terrio, one of the writers (Ben Affleck brought him onboard to rewrite the script and give it some punch) on 2016’s “Batman v Superman : Dawn of Justice”, is Warner’s top-pick to write the “Justice League” movie. It’s been reported that Terrio wants to direct a movie, so maybe he can use this as leverage against the studio to let him do just that (if even on a smaller-scale project)? (Deadline)
