Comic Con : Kristen Stewart on whether she’d play Bella again

There have been rumours of more and, lets admit it, they’re easy-to-believe rumours since the franchise has made a mint for Lionsgate, but at this stage, there are no plans for any more “Twilight” movies.

Asked for their feelings on potential follow-ups or spin-off’s of the bitingly-successful film series, author Stephenie Meyer and stars Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson say they’re not enthusiastic about pushing any more “Twilight” on audiences.

Stewart hopes that if the studio does decide to do something more in this world, they leave Bella and Edward alone – believing their story to be done.

“..if anything else happened, I’m like, please leave them alone. They figured it out, leave them and by the end of the movie it’s so abundantly satisfying and sweet and ideal. It feels good. Like it should end.”

Having said that, Stewart was quick not to instantly burn that bridge – just in case.

“Steph [if there is another one] I’m down. I’d be open to the idea, I’d be really interested in hearing what it was.”

Meyer reiterated what Stewart said, that Bella [and Edward’s] story is done. She can’t imagine there would be another film at this stage and if there were, it wouldn’t be the same.

Of a possible ‘reboot’, Robert Pattinson joked that he’d love to see it  – if only because he’d no longer have to be the focus of any Edward-centric criticisms.

“I think it would be amazing. I would love to see that. I pity the person who would take over my role”, he laughed.
