Comic-Con : Tarantino’s Hateful Eight is a go!

When the screenplay was leaked, before even a frame of film was shot, Quentin Tarantino – obviously miffed – announced that he had abandoned plans to bring to the screen his western “Hateful Eight”.

Instead, he rounded up a horde of names – many of who were attached to the film, including Bruce Dern, Samuel L.Jackson and Amber Tamblyn – for a live reading of the script.

But seems, over time, Tarantino has warmed up to the idea of doing the movie. Again.

Asked at the Comic-Con panel for the comic “Django meets Zorro” whether or not he might return to “Hateful Eight”, Tarantino ummed and aaahed for a bit before committing an answer. “Yeah – We’re going to be doing The Hateful Eight.”

Assumingly, the cast that were attached to the first incarnation of the project – Bruce Dern, Kurt Russell, Amber Tamblyn, Michael Madsen, James Remar, Walton Goggins, Zoe Bell, and Samuel L. Jackson – will all be back.

“The Hateful Eight” follows the steadily ratcheting tension that develops after a blizzard diverts a stagecoach from its route, and traps a pitiless and mistrustful group which includes a competing pair of bounty hunters, a renegade Confederate soldier, and a female prisoner in a saloon in the middle of nowhere.

A sneak peek at the Simpsons/Family Guy crossover!
