A few months back internet scuttlebutt had William Shatner set to reprise his role as Captain James T.Kirk for the next “Star Trek” movie.
Buzz had it that the veteran actor, who was approached to cameo in JJ Abrams’ first “Star Trek” movie, would finally cave in and agree to appear in the next film in the [rebooted] franchise. His scene would reportedly see his Kirk coming face-to-face with his younger self, played by Chris Pine.
While at Comic Con today, Shatner was asked about the rumors that he’s set to slap the Starfleet stripes back on.
”What do you know? Am I in the next movie? Tell me!”
In other words, the former “Sh*t My Dad Says” actor isn’t onboard the soon-to-film “Star Trek Beyond”. There’s still time, I suppose…
