Dallas axed after three seasons

As justified as it is, doesn’t mean it’s any less sad.

And shit, there I go, foolishly outing myself as an avid watcher of the “Dallas” reboot.

But it’s three and out for the reboot of the ’80s classic, with TNT announcing today that the series – which, lets face it, has been on shaky ground for a while now (it was TNT’s lowest-rated drama) – won’t be returning for a fourth season.

The network issued a statement on Friday announcing that “TNT has decided not to renew Dallas. We are extremely proud of the series, which defied expectations by standing as a worthy continuation of the Ewing saga. We want to thank everyone involved with the show, from the extraordinary cast to the impeccable production team, led by the show’s creative forces, [executive producers] Cynthia Cidre and Mike Robin. We especially want to thank the people of Dallas for their warm and generous hospitality during the production of the series.”

Typical of “Dallas”, the third season ended on somewhat of a cliffhanger. We’ll likely still find out what happens to everybody… when it’s rebooted again in a decade.

Lynch & Frost hint at Twin Peaks revival!
