Danny Masterson fired from Netflix’s The Ranch

Following multiple sexual allegations against the actor, Netflix has fired Danny Masterson from comedy series “The Ranch”.

“As a result of ongoing discussions, Netflix and the producers have written Danny Masterson out of The Ranch. [Monday] was his last day on the show, and production will resume in ear-ly 2018 without him,” Netflix said Tuesday in a statement.

It’s unknown whether Masterson, who the LAPD have been investigating since March stemming from sexual assault claims and a potential Church of Scientology cover-up, will be re-placed by another actor on the series, which also stars Ashton Kutcher and Sam Elliott.

According to The Live Feed, the former “That ‘70s Show” star will star appear in the second half of the second season and may also appear in episodes of the third season as the streaming magnate transitions his character’s exit.

The actor has released a statement, declaring his innocence and protesting Netflix’s decision to axe him.

“I am obviously very disappointed in Netflix’s decision to write my character off of The Ranch. From day one, I have denied the outrageous allegations against me,” he said in a statement. “Law enforcement investigated these claims more than 15 years ago and deter-mined them to be without merit. I have never been charged with a crime, let alone convicted of one.”

The statement continued: “In this country, you are presumed innocent until proven guilty. However, in the current climate, it seems as if you are presumed guilty the moment you are accused. I understand and look forward to clearing my name once and for all. In the mean-time, I want to express my gratitude to the cast and crew that I’ve worked so closely with over the past three seasons. I wish them nothing but success. I am also so thankful to the fans that have supported me and continue to do so.”

Masterson is one of several actors to get the chop from their Tinseltown-placed job after snaring serious allegation and inappropriate behavior claims, the most notable being Kevin Spacey who has been pink slipped from Netflix’s “House of Cards”.
