Detective Pikachu to be first live-action Pokemon movie!

The recently announced “Pokemon” movie has found a home with Legendary Entertainment.

According to Variety, Legendary and the Pokemon Company are teaming to develop a live-action film franchise of the Japanese property – beginning with a “Detective Pikachu” movie.

Details are under wraps, but Legendary hopes to get the film in front of the cameras early next year.

The deal comes two weeks after the widely popular “Pokemon Go” app was released.
