Don’t expect The Flash until 2021

Due to actor Ezra Miller’s scheduling clash with the “Fantastic Beasts” franchise, Warner Bros has opted to push their long-gestating superhero standlone “The Flash” to 2021. Though a release date hasn’t been announced, filming had been rumored to begin in March 2019 – thus, the speedster was expected to arrive – er- quicker than he is.

The film, which sees Miller reprise his “Justice League” role of young Barry Allen, is expected to get underway later next year, after Miller finishes work on the third “Fantastic Beasts” movie.

John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein are currently attached to direct the film.

The delay is another bump in the road for a film that’s experienced more than a few hiccups along the way to the popcorn-infused auditorium of sight and sound.
