Edgar Wright’s next film revealed

With his schedule now freed up, thanks to that mutual parting of the ways from “Ant-Man”, Edgar Wright has committed to Working Title Films’ “Baby Driver”.

The project, which Wright also wrote, is said to be a “a collision of crime, action, music and sound”, according to Deadline.

The pic sounds like it’s definitely more in tune with the other compositions Wright has belted out in the past few years – namely those Cornetto Trilogy efforts. But despite the tonal similarities to previous works, Simon Pegg and Nick Frost (Wright’s usual go-to guys) don’t seem to be involved.

From the sounds of it, “Baby Driver” is rushing to the starting line just as fast as Marvel’s “Ant-Man”, which Peyton Reed is now helming. Good chance the two films might end up doing some sort of ticket battle at the box-office if the schedules match up.
