Emily Blunt to voice new character in My Little Pony movie

Emily Blunt has been cast in the animated “My Little Pony” film.

Blunt joins a cast of Kristin Chenoweth, Tara Strong, Cathy Weseluck, Andrea Libman, Tabitha St. Germain and Ashleigh Ball, who will voice the Mane 6 — Twilight Sparkle, Applejack, Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie, Fluttershy and Rarity. When a new dark force threatens Ponyville, they embark on an unforgettable journey beyond Equestria where they meet new friends and exciting challenges on a quest to use the magic of friendship and save their home – via THR.

Directed by Jayson Theissen, “My Little Pony” is due for release on November 3, 2017.
