There has been a lot of talk of CBS’ new “Supergirl” series recently. Now we’ve got more to discuss with the first images of Melissa Benoist as the iconic character surfacing on the net.
Check out the pics below, which also give us our first look at the new super costume, designed by “The Flash” and “Arrow” costume designer (not to mention three-time Oscar winner) Colleen Atwood.
“In designing Supergirl, I wanted to embrace the past,” Atwood said, “but more importantly, thrust her into the street-style action hero of today.”
Joining Benoist in the series are Mehcad Brooks as James Olsen, Laura Benanti as Alura Zor-El, Calista Flockhart as Cat Grant, Chyler Leigh as Alexandra “Alex” Danvers, Jeremy Jordan as Winslow “Winn” Schott, David Harewood as Hank Henshaw and superhero veterans Dean Cain and Helen Slater in unknown roles.
