Earlier this month, it was announced that Elijah Wood would be starring in Franck Khalfoun directed remake of William Lustig’s “Maniac”. In the film, Wood plays a serial killer who works at a shop that sells antique mannequins. Wood’s character finds victims on the internet and stalks them like prey, all the while suffering from hallucinations that throw him back into the past, when he was abused by his own mother. In his twisted mind, he gains a measure of revenge against his mother with each kill.
Twitch has posted the first shots of Wood on-set getting his “Psycho” on. Check them out below.
“Maniac” will be out sometime in 2013 and also stars Hank Azaria.
