Jay Hernandez (“Friday Night Lights”) is in talks to join Warner Bros.’ “Suicide Squad”, reports The Wrap.
The comic book adaptation is being helmed by David Ayer with a cast that already boasts Will Smith as Deadshot, Joel Kinnaman as Rick Flagg, Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, Jai Courtney as Captain Boomerang, Cara Delevingne as Enchantress and Jared Leto as The Joker.
Viola Davis and Jesse Eisenberg are also in talks to play Amanda Waller and Lex Luthor, respectively.
As for Hernandez’s role, that remains a mystery at this time.
Charles Roven and Richard Suckle are producing with Zack Snyder, Deborah Snyder, Colin Wilson and Geoff Johns exec producing.
Production is set for April with the film slated to bow on August 5, 2016.
