Game of Thrones star in Lady Chatterley’s redo

BBC One is adapting D.H. Lawrence’s 1928 Italian romance novel “Lady Chatterley’s Lover” and the network has enlisted the help of some practised TV actors to help out.

Holliday Grainger, who starred in A&E’s miniseries “Bonnie & Clyde”, will play the titular role with Richard Madden (“Game of Thrones”) set to portray gamekeeper Oliver Mellors. Lady Chatterley’s war-wounded husband Sir Clifford Chatterley will be played by James Norton (“Happy Valley”).

Jed Mercurio will write and direct the 90-minute drama with Hartswood Films producing in association with Serena Cullen Productions.

Production will get underway in October with the show set to air next year.
