Remake of De Palma thriller in the works

MGM are remaking the old Angie Dickinson thriller “Dressed to Kill”, says Variety.

Ashok Amritraj’s Hyde Park Entertainment has inked a deal with the studio to churn out a few direct-to-DVD movies and has decided the “Kill” redo would be perfect for the Blockbuster shelves.

Rich Alexander, who is producing the remake of “Conan the Barbarian”, has been tapped to write the script.

The original 1980 film, directed by Brian De Palma, told of a killer that’s stalking a prostitute. Michael Caine, Nancy Allen and Dennis Franz co-starred.
