A film based on the classic TV series “Fantasy Island” is in the works at Blumhouse, says Deadline.
The feature, which has Jeff Wadlow (“Kick-Ass 2”) tapped to direct, sees Jason Blum and co return to more branded properties, following the upcoming “Halloween” reboot and “Glass”, which is a spin-off of both “Glass” and “Unbreakable”.
The original Aaron Spelling-produced series, which starred Herve Villechaize and Ricardo Montalban, dealt with visitors coming to the island to live out their fantasy wishes.
Wadlow is writing with Truth or Dare co-scribes Chris Roach and Jillian Jacobs.
