IT: Chapter 2 : new cast added and production begins

Production for “IT: Chapter 2” has begun, with actor James McAvoy confirming the news on his Instagram account. McAvoy is playing the former leader of the Losers’ Club, Bill Denbrough, in his adult years.

McAvoy joins Bill Skarsgård returning as Pennywise, as well as the new adult Losers’ Club including an impressive cast of Bill Hader as Richie, Jessica Chastain as Beverly, James Ransone as Eddie, Andy Bean as Stanley, Jay Ryan as Ben and Isaiah Mustafa as Mike.

Two new additions have been made to the cast, with Xavier Dolan & Will Beinbrink the newest faces for the highly anticipated sequel. According to Deadline, Dolan will be playing the role of Adrian Mellon. In the Stephen King novel, Mellon was a gay man living in Derry who was attacked by bullies. Beinbrink will play Tom Rogan who was Beverly’s abusive lover in the book and the 1990s miniseries.

According to the report, production for the film isn’t set to begin until next month, so who knows what McAvoy is up to!
