It director Andy Muschietti doing another big WB movie

“It” helmer Andy Muschietti will direct a feature adaptation of manga series “Attack on Titan”.

Set up at Warner Bros, where the filmmaker helped the Stephen King adaptation soar to great heights with a $700 million dollar take, the film will feature a bravura producing committee including “Harry Potter”‘s David Heyman, “Mega Man” producer and “Heroes” actor Masi Oka and Andy’s sister and fellow “It” producer Barbara Muschietti.

Written and illustrated by Hajime Isayama, “Attack on Titan” is the best-selling manga series of all time with over 76 million copies in print since debuting in 2009. It is set in a world in which humanity lives in cities surrounded by enormous walls protecting themselves from gigantic humanoids that are referred to as titans.

The Muschietti siblings are currently in production on “It: Chapter 2″, which opens Sept. 6, 2019.
