Jamie Foxx in talks to join Michael B. Jordan in Just Mercy

Jamie Foxx is in talks to join courtroom drama “Just Mercy” alongside Michael B. Jordan at Warner Bros. Destin Cretton is directing the flick, and also co-wrote the script with Andrew Lanham. Jordan will also produce.

According to the Variety report, the film is based on the book “Just Mercy: A Story of Justice and Redemption,” and the film adaptation tells the true story of Bryan Stevenson (Jordan), a gifted young lawyer fighting for equal justice in a flawed legal system.

Foxx would play the death row inmate Jordan is defending — a role highly coveted by several movie stars.
