Jamie Foxx looks set to play world renowned boxer Mike Tyson in an untitled biopic which Terence Winter is set to write, Variety reports.
Foxx’s manager Rick Yorn will produce the project which he is shepherding.
It is not yet known which stages of Tyson’s eventful life the film will focus on. From boxing to prison, bankruptcy to a one-man Vegas show, Winter will certainly have a wide range of material to select from.
The biopic will be the first feature about Tyson’s life. It follows HBO’s 1995 TV movie “Tyson” which starred Michael Jai White.
The project is in its early stages, still without a studio.
