Jason Statham is in line to star in director Jon Turteltaub’s “Meg”, a movie about the 70-foot, 40-ton prehistoric shark known as Carcharodon Megalodon (aka Meg).
Based on Steve Allten’s book, the latest draft of the script was penned by Jamie Vanderbilt.
No plot or character details are available.
The project has been in the works for upwards of two decades. Last year it had Eli Roth attached to direct, before it was overhauled yet again and Turteltaub became attached.
