Jedi joins forces with The Blob

Samuel L.Jackson has signed to star in Simon Well’s update of “The Blob”, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The Goldcrest Films redo, kicking off this Fall, will see the “Snakes on a Plane” star play a biochemistry professor who attempts to thwart the gooey alien substance from destroying the earth.

Kevin Dillon (“Entourage”) played the male lead in the 1988 version.
