Jesse Plemons out of Star Wars contention? Sounds like it…

You can count Jesse Plemons out of “Star Wars Episode VII”.

The former “Friday Night Lights” star was believed to be a frontrunner for one of the main roles in the JJ Abrams-directed space blockbuster, filming in May, but considering he’s just signed for the Whitley Bulger biopic “Black Mass”, which will film at the same time as “Episode VII”, all signs suggest Plemons is out of contention.

Plemons and Juno Temple (“Afternoon Delight”) are in final yaks to join Johnny Depp, Joel Edgerton, Guy Pearce and Dakota Johnson for the Scott Cooper movie. THR has details on who they’ll be playing in the Boston-crook drama.
