Joseph Gordon-Levitt campaigning for Star Wars role

Joseph Gordon-Levitt has worked a few times with Rian Johnson, most famously on “Looper” and earlier in “Brick”, so it wouldn’t be surprising to see the duo team up again on something. But with Johnson’s next film being the effects-riddled ensemble piece “Star Wars Episode VIII”, it’s unlikely to happen or a while… right?

Maybe not. Asked by Cinema Blend whether he’d be keen on being in Johnson’s “Star Wars”, the star of the highly-anticipated “The Walk” belted back with a rather enthusiastic response.

“Of course! I knock on his door every day, and I’m like, ‘Am I in the movie yet? Am I in the movie yet? Dude! No, seriously dude. It’s important to me! I want to be in the movie!’ [Shrugs] We’ll see.”

Gordon-Levitt seemingly has his heart set on sharing the screen with Luke Skywalker. Lets make it happen, Rian!
