Disney’s new streaming service launches in 2019, and on the schedule is a live-action/CG hybrid remake of animated classic “Lady and the Tramp”. Word is that Justin Theroux is nearing a deal to star in the remake as the voice the Tramp.
The search continues for the Lady of the film, though Ashley Jensen has been cast to voice a Scottish Terrior named Jackie – one of Lady’s closest friends.
The original film, released in 1955 (yes it is that old!), tells the story of two pups that meet and fall in love – even though they are from two very different worlds. It’s the movie with the spaghetti scene we all still reference, remember?!
Charlie Bean is directing the new flick for Disney, which will be exclusively released to their upcoming streaming service – so that means no theatrical release.
