“Karate Kid” star Martin Kove has scored a plum role in director Quentin Tarantino’s “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood”.
The ’80s icon is one of several new additions to the cast of the ’60s set drama, which circles a number of Hollywood-folk – including Sharon Tate – at the time of the Manson murders.
James Remar, Brenda Vaccaro, Nichole Galicia, Mike Moh, Craig Stark, Marco Rodriguez, Ramon Franco and Raul Cardona have also been cast.
The film, which takes place in L.A in 1969, stars Leonardo DiCaprio and Brad Pitt with Margot Robbie (as Tate), Burt Reynolds, Kurt Russell, Timothy Olyphant, Damian Lewis, Dakota Fanning, Scoot McNairy and Al Pacino making up just a few of the names on the credit block.
Garrett will play Allen Kincade, TV personality/interviewer to Hollywood’s elite. Reports suggest Moh will play action-movie legend Bruce Lee.
Martin Kove reprises his “Karate Kid” role, John Kreese, for the new YouTube Red series “Cobra Kai”.
”Once Upon a Time in Hollywood” releases August 9, 2019.
