Let’s talk about The Avengers 2. Already.

It’s pretty clear “The Avengers” is the talk of New York Comic Con- and why shouldn’t it be? It’s got a stack of superheros, with a line-up of good actors, and looks like a great way to keep the genre alive.

So let’s not stop at that- and already get talking about a sequel!

Marvel boss Kevin Feige has spoken about a whole host of other films that he’s got his eye on to follow “The Avengers” when it gets released next May.

We’re in pre-production on a movie called “Iron Man 3” right now. We’ve got a great director called Shane Black who’s taking the reins. It’s the first of what we refer to Phase Two of this Avengers Assemble talk, which will lead to an “Avengers 2”. Those movies will be a part of that.

It’s been floated before by a number of sources that those movies could be “Thor 2”, “Ant-Man”, “Guardians of the Galaxy” and “Inhuman”.

While over at IGN, they’ve spoken to Feige about more deets from “Avengers 2”, including a potentially new line-up:

Absolutely [there will be a new line up]. That’s the fun of it — introducing new characters. Seeing how will things change after Iron Man goes through his next adventure? After Thor goes through his next adventure? If we do another Cap adventure, how will things change? The dynamic between them? Their own worlds? So that the dynamic in Avengers 2 is actually quite different than it is in the first one.

It’s been a big year for Marvel, with “X-Men: First Class”, “Thor” and Captain America: The First Avenger” all hitting screens.

So what do you make of all this? Is it a bit premature to be planning this, given it might be a flop? Unlikely, but there’s always a chance…

Either way, I think it’s going to be a big few years for Marvel!
