The eternally-busy Margot Robbie has added another project to the in-development section of her IMDB profile.
The “Suicide Squad” actress will star in “Marian”, a Sony drama focusing on Robin Hood’s main squeeze. In the film, she leads her people after the death of the famous archer and becomes a legend herself.
According to Heat Vision, Donald De Line, Amy Pascal and Robbie’s LuckyChap Entertainment will produce from a script by Pete Barry. Rock Shaink is also producing through his Romark Entertainment.
“Marian” is one of several Robin Hood-related projects in the works. Taron Egerton plays the emerald sharpshooter in the Lionsgate-produced origin story, due March 2018, and Alex Kurtzman and Justin Lin have a CBS series, inspired by the folklore legend, in the works.
