Though the project has still yet to be greenlit, director Edgar Wright seems to be the closest he’s ever gotten to making his “Ant-Man” movie. The “Scott Pilgrim” director has shot a test reel, designed to get the Marvel brass to press ‘go!’ on the long-gestating film adaptation of the Marvel comic. (The Hollywood Reporter)

Guardians of the Galaxy

It will be officially announced at Comic Con, but seems Marvel’s planning a “Guardians of the Galaxy” movie for 2014. May 16, 2014 to be exact. “Those in the know say the project is in line with Avengers in tone in the sense there is plenty of comedic elements on display”, says THR. Nicole Peterson has written two drafts of the film. A director is yet to be locked.

Big Hero 6

Disney is rumoured to be making an animated film based on the Marvel comic. Don Hall (”Winnie the Pooh”) is said to be directing the film, centering on a group of Japanese-based superheroes – including the Silver Samurai – out to save the world. As they do. (It’s On The Grid)

Captain America 2

Looks like ‘Cap’ may film his sequel in North Carolina, just as Iron Man is currently doing. Latino Review says, “Turns out, North Carolina politics confirmed a rumor we heard. Seems that the tax breaks for productions are set to expire and the legislative bodies of North Carolina need to scramble to extend them by next Tuesday or watch them expire on January 1st, 2014. yesterday State Rep. Danny McComas said extending the credit could help North Carolina score the sequel to ‘Captain America: The First Avenger.’
