Marvel rumors : Black Panther, Spider-Man

Martin Freeman was announced a couple of days back for a role in “Captain America : Civil War”. No details were available on his character.

Latino Review may have the scoop on that though. The site’s reporting that he’s playing interrogator Everett Ross, a U.S Government agent appeared in Marvel comics.

The character will also – as is usually the case with Marvel movies – cross over into connected superhero films, specifically “Black Panther”.

Speaking of Marvel, seems Drew Goddard isn’t a lock to direct the new “Spider-Man” movie at all – in fact, he has some fierce competition that are also being eyed for the gig. According to Deadline, high-profile directors Jonathan Levine (“Warm Bodies”), Ted Melfi (“St. Vincent”), Jason Moore (“Pitch Perfect”), John Francis Daley & Jonathan M. Goldstein (“Vacation”), and Jared Hess (“Napoleon Dynamite”) are also in contention. Those names suggest that Marvel/Sony may be going the more comedic route this time around.
