Lifetime are planning a tell-all telemovie on what went on behind-the-scenes on Aaron Spelling’s 90’s superhit “Melrose Place”, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The unauthorized film, which follows the network’s “Saved by the Bell” BTS telemovie, will be executive produced by Michael Larkin and Howard Braunstein, with Dana Schmalenberg penning and Mark Griffiths directing.

A spin-off of “Beverly Hills 90210”, “Melrose Place” took off in it’s second season when the show was retooled to become somewhat of a ridiculously over-the-top “Dynasty”-esque soap, complete with new addition (and former “Dynasty” star) Heather Locklear. Long-time regulars on the show included Andrew Shue, Courtney Thorne-Smith, Grant Show, Laura Leighton, Thomas Calabro, and Josie Bisset.

The CW brought “Melrose Place” back, a couple of years ago, but it didn’t last beyond the first season.

No airdate as yet on the telefilm.
