Miles Teller confirms Fantastic Four talks

Though there’s no official confirmation, sounds a lot like Miles Teller (“The Spectacular Now”) is a lock for the role of Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic in Josh Trank’s upcoming “Fantastic Four” reboot.

Teller, soon in “Divergent”, has been the frontrunner for the role of the Four’s leader for a while now; the trades confirmed this week that he’s definitely a contender.

Teller tells Collider that if it were to happen he’d expect to be hitting the gym soon.

“I think, you know, if that were to happen, I think the characters would be taken in a different direction than the kind of blue suits and stuff from the franchise that had previously been done, which you’d have to if you’re gonna reboot something, you really got to kind of put your own spin on it. But with that being said, all I need is like, a couple weeks to just get my body back in shape. So the answer to that is yes, I could get back in shape.”

Teller’s answer suggests that, not only is he as good as ‘in’, but those classic ‘blue’ suits (the ones seen in the last two “Fantastic Four” films) won’t be on screen this time around.
“Fantastic Four” begins production in Baton Rouge in March.
