Emmett/Furla/Oasis vet Steven C.Miller (“Marauders”) will direct “Escape Plan 2” for the former and Chinese sidekick Leomus Pictures.
The film, expected to team Sylvester Stallone (reprising his role as Ray Breslin) with a Chinese cast (and backdrop, reportedly), was – like the 2013 original – written by Miles Chapman.
The bulk of profit made on the original Stallone-Arnold Schwarzenegger starring “Escape Plan” came out of China thus the new foreign partner.
A Schwarzenegger appearance, though rumoured, is unconfirmed. Guess it depends on his “Celebrity Apprentice” duties, right?
