Momoa : Henry Cavill “100%” returning as Superman

While previous reports suggested Henry Cavill’s days as Superman were behind him, one of the actor’s “Justice League” co-stars has confirmed otherwise.

Jason Momoa, the star of “Aquaman”, tells Entertainment Tonight that Cavill’s not going anywhere.

“He’s absolutely not. He loves the character and he’s not [leaving]. 100%.”

Earlier this week, Momoa sung a different tune when asked by The Huffington Post whether it’s true Cavill and Amy Adams (Lois Lane) won’t be back for future DCEU movies.

“If they’re both out, then listen: It’s just the place they’re at in their careers. I mean, how many has Henry done? He’s done three? Yeah, I mean, like, you want to move on. I think if I did… s–t, I have done three. Ben is an amazing director that is of age, and probably he’s done enough. I don’t know how to speak on behalf of them, but I had the time of my life [on Justice League]. Henry is the gentlemen who taught me when I came on not knowing anything. I’m like the ruffian hooligan, and he’s just like, ‘There’s kids watching,’ and I’m like, ‘Oh, yeah. My bad.’ He is totally 100% the Superman for me.”

Seems between that interview and the new one with ET on the red carpet for “Aquaman”, Momoa’s had hard intel suggesting Cavill’s back for more. That would possibly indicate that Adams, who had told Variety she believes she’s out of future ‘Superman’ and DCEU movies, might also be back in the mix for future super-eps.

Meanwhile, Ben Affleck’s fate as Batman is still up in the air.
