Mr T, Tom Selleck, Scott Bakula for Expendables TV show?

Tom Selleck, Richard Dean Anderson, Scott Bakula, David Hasselhoff, Lucy Lawless and more are on the wishlist for a new “Expendables” TV series, says Deadline. As opposed to the films, which featured veteran action ‘movie’ stars, the small screen version would assemble a group of well-known television actors.

The series is being billed as an ‘event’ series, a’la “24 : Live Another Day”.

Set up at Fox, “The Expendables” would be executive produced by Sylvester Stallone, Avi Lerner and “NCIS” veteran Shane Brennan. Brennan will serve as show runner/writer; Greg Coolidge and Kirk Ward are also part of the writing department. No word if Stallone would cameo, but it’s certainly possible.

While nobody has been approached yet, the outlet says there’s a number of actors the producers are looking at to star in the action drama; in addition to the names above, TV faves Jennifer Garner (“Alias”), Lucy Lawless (“Xena”), Jeffrey Donovan (“Burn Notice”), Mr T (“The A-Team”), Chuck Norris (who appeared in “Expendables 2”), and Kiefer Sutherland – who Fox may have a shot with, considering he did “24” for the network – help make up the casting wishlist.
