ABC has renewed one bubble series “Nashville”.
A third season was left in the hands of the accountants and number-scribblers, who spent the last day or so working out whether a third season of the popular drama was viable for the network. One of the things that near got “Nashville” the axe was Tennessee’s vote to cut by two-thirds the tax benefits previously set aside for the show, which films in Nashville.
The show will likely continue to film in Nashville if the tax incentives can be snared at a “proper” level, says Deadline.
The third season will consist of 22 episodes.
“Nashville”, starring Connie Britton and Hayden Panettiere, is produced by Lionsgate TV and ABC Studios.
