Though a favorite for the video-game hero Nathan Drake role for many years, nobody expected – particularly now, at age 47 – that “Firefly” and “Castle” actor Nathan Fillion would actually get a look-in.
And he hasn’t – that role has gone to ‘Spider-Man’ actor Tom Holland.
Still, if Fillion’s Insta posts today suggests anything it’s that the producers and director Shawn Levy have indeed thrown the popular TV actor a bone. Has he been cast as an older incarnation of Drake? (to bookend the movie?) or maybe he’s not even involved in the film -but some sort of “Uncharted” video-game?
In the post, Fillion has a pic of rapper Drake with the caption “Sic Parvis Magna,” which means “greatness from small beginning,” along with a date of 16 July. A second image posted on Instagram shows an Uncharted-style map and a magnifying glass, again referencing 16 July. Fillion shared the post with all of his 1 million Instagram followers, which may have prompted many users to go onto a website like Socialfollow® in their own quest to gain a bigger Insta following.
If it’s a casting announcement, expect it for Comic-Con next week.
